# A remote AI job can still exclude your country. Check this first.

A language match does not establish country eligibility. Check residence, language, experience and schedule before an AI job assessment, then browse relevant roles.

You find an AI job in a language you speak. The work sounds right. Then the application asks whether you live in a country you have never lived in. Check the eligible location before giving the assessment your evening.

If you are looking for work after MTurk, the countries supported by your old platform do not establish eligibility elsewhere. Start with where you live and the work you can do.

## Read four requirements separately

| Requirement | What you need to establish |
| --- | --- |
| Residence and location | Where you must live and where the work must be performed |
| Language | Required proficiency, dialect or locale |
| Experience | Credentials or practical experience the role asks for |
| Availability | Weekly commitment, meetings and uninterrupted sessions |

A role can match three requirements and fail the fourth. If the wording is unclear, use the provider's official support route to ask: Does this specific role accept someone resident in my country? Keep an unanswered requirement marked unknown.

## A language match that needs another check

Imagine a fluent French speaker in Morocco finds a French AI evaluator role. In this hypothetical example, the original description accepts residents of Canada only. The language fits; the residence does not. The useful next step is another French role whose location requirement also fits.

If the next listing has no country field, check it with the provider. Missing information on a directory card does not establish worldwide eligibility.

## Check the rule for this opportunity

micro1 describes global hiring alongside a list of excluded countries and regions. Check its current expert FAQ and the individual role. Prolific uses supported residence for participant eligibility; those research-study rules do not apply to an unrelated AI job. Mercor includes work-authorization checks in its application process.

## Build a shortlist from your constraints

- Write down your residence, strongest working language, relevant skill and actual availability.
- Browse roles by country or language, then open the original listing.
- Mark each essential requirement yes, no or unknown. Save the wording and date you checked it.
- Choose one plausible role whose requirements you can establish before starting its assessment.

## When the requirements fit, check the next commitment

Confirm the original application is still open. Read the assessment instructions, equipment and payment setup requirements. An advertised pay ceiling is not your offered rate or your weekly income. Another applicant's screenshot cannot fill in missing terms for your role.
