This is a remote, project-based role for industry professionals and PhD-level researchers across academic disciplines. You will complete tasks that draw on your domain expertise, research training, and analytical skills — including literature synthesis, technical writing, data analysis, experiment design, and specialized research tasks within your field. Work is over the next 2–3 weeks, asynchronous, and assigned on a project-by-project basis, with an expected commitment of 10–20 hours per week for the projects you accept. Responsibilities - Apply your doctoral-level expertise to research tasks within your field of specialization - Conduct literature reviews, synthesize findings, and produce rigorous technical writing - Design and evaluate experiments, datasets, or methodologies relevant to your domain - Provide subject-matter expertise to support model evaluation, data curation, or benchmarking efforts - Document methodologies, results, and technical approaches clearly and reproducibly
Required qualifications - PhD (completed or in progress) in any quantitative, scientific, technical, or humanities field - Demonstrated expertise in your area of doctoral study, with the ability to apply it to applied research problems - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on technical and research tasks - Have at least 5 years of work experience in an applicable industry
Preferred qualifications - Experience working with AI/ML systems, datasets, or evaluation pipelines in your domain - Familiarity with technical writing, peer review, or grant writing in your field - Background in TA'ing or teaching at the graduate or undergraduate level - Published researcher with at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed venue
