About the Role
What if your voice — your authentic Scottish accent — could directly shape how AI understands and communicates with millions of people around the world? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists based in Scotland to take part in paid in-studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.
This is not voice cloning. This is about capturing the real, natural richness of Scottish speech to help AI systems better understand how people actually talk.
- Organisation: Alignerr - Type: Contract - Session Format: In-person professional recording studio (locally assigned in Scotland) - Commitment: 2–3 sessions of 4 hours each
What You'll Do

* Record natural, conversational Scottish English speech in a professional studio environment * Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue recordings * Deliver realistic, human-sounding dialogue that feels unscripted and natural * Follow light direction to vary tone, pacing, and delivery across different scenarios * Bring your authentic Scottish accent to every session — that's exactly what we need
Who You Are
* A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with recording experience * A native or near-native Scottish English speaker — your accent is your superpower here * Currently based in Scotland * Comfortable performing natural conversation and dialogue in a studio setting * Receptive to direction, reliable, and professional in your approach * Fluent in English at a working level for communication and direction
Nice to Have
* Background in acting, performance, or broadcast * Prior experience recording in a professional studio environment * Podcast, commercial, audiobook, or radio voice-over credits
