Meridial advertises a median top rate of $45/hr, measured from 29 distinct advertised hourly rates among its 561 live roles on 2026-10-13. The middle half of those rates runs from $28 to $65/hr and the highest is $200/hr. Each rate is the top of a listing's advertised band, the most that role says it can pay, not a promised wage. 5 roles publish no rate at all.

Workers report earning
$8 to $30/hr effective, once unpaid onboarding and waiting for tasks are counted. Invisible pays by the hour with time tracking rather than per task, so what contributors report earning tends to match the rate on the posting. The common complaint is getting work at all, not getting paid.
Where the reported figure comes from
Public worker reports, the platform's own published rates and help pages, and reporting, gathered by hand on 2026-08-26. Evidence rated medium. It is not measured from our job feed, and it never enters our medians, percentiles, sorting or alerts, which read published rates only.
Country: Invisible says the rate within a posted band depends partly on the worker's location, and its own board bears that out: this directory has read Meridial listings advertising anywhere from about $5 to $65 an hour depending on the role and the country. A figure of a $20 hourly floor circulates online and does not match what the board actually posts.
▲ Getting onboarded is the hard part. Contributors describe passing assessments and then being rejected or left without projects, with no explanation.
▲ A posted band is a band. Landing at the top of it is not the default.
▲ Paid time is tracked, which cuts both ways: less unpaid training than on per-task platforms, and less flexibility about how you work.
▲ Its lowest-paid listings sit below this directory's minimum and are not shown here, so the roles you see are the upper part of what it posts.
A profile, a brief confirmation step, then a signed Statement of Work once you are matched. Its postings say the exact rate is set after it evaluates your experience, expertise and location. meridial.ai/faq, job-boards.greenhouse.io/agency/jobs/4784908101

What workers report earning
Glassdoor rates Invisible Technologies' AI trainer pay 2.8 of 5 across 60 reviews, at $8 to $65 an hour. On r/Meridial one worker found a project listed at $40 to $60 an hour paid a little under $5 per approved task, and applicants describe a language test followed by a wait for a project match.
What they wish they could see
The exact rate, not only the band, before evaluation.

What this directory already shows

Applicant report vs official data
The applicant post showed $9 per hour for Nigeria. On 9 September 2026, Meridial's public opportunity data returned $9 per hour for Nigeria and $21 per hour for Luxembourg for the same role ID. This reproduces a country-specific displayed-rate difference, but it does not explain how rates are set or guarantee what another applicant will be offered.
The official data did not confirm that the reported assessment format applies to other applicants. Check the instructions and amount displayed for your own application before starting.
