The role, as Alignerr describes it

TypeScript Engineer (AI Training)

About the Role

What if your TypeScript expertise could directly shape how AI writes code for millions of developers around the world? We're looking for experienced TypeScript engineers to evaluate, critique, and improve AI-generated code — ensuring it's type-safe, idiomatic, scalable, and production-ready.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior developers who live and breathe TypeScript. No AI background needed — just deep technical knowledge and the ability to articulate why good code is good.

- Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

Read the rest of the description (7 more paragraphs)

* Review AI-generated TypeScript code and evaluate it for type safety, correctness, and adherence to modern best practices * Identify issues with generics, interfaces, utility types, and overall type architecture * Solve complex development challenges using idiomatic TypeScript and modern frameworks * Write clear, detailed explanations of architectural decisions and type system logic * Help bridge the gap between strong static type systems and the AI models learning to use them * Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

* Deep expertise in TypeScript — you're comfortable with static typing, generics, conditional types, mapped types, and utility types * 3–5 years of hands-on experience with modern frontend or full-stack frameworks such as React, Angular, Next.js, Node.js, or Nuxt.js * Able to spot the difference between code that compiles and code that's actually well-designed * Strong written communicator — you can explain complex type logic clearly and precisely * Self-motivated and consistent when working independently * Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field preferred

Nice to Have

* Experience with data annotation, model evaluation, or AI-assisted development workflows * Familiarity with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, or design patterns in typed environments * Background in code review, technical writing, or developer education * Exposure to Zod, tRPC, Prisma, or other type-first TypeScript ecosystems

Why Join Us

* Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading AI research labs * Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you * Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, technically challenging work * Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and writes TypeScript at scale * Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
