The role, as Alignerr describes it

Chemistry Masters – AI Data Trainer

About the Role

We're looking for chemistry experts to help train and improve the next generation of AI systems. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build models that can reason through complex scientific problems — and we need people who truly understand the science.

If you hold a Master's degree (or are currently pursuing one) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field, this is your opportunity to apply your expertise in a meaningful, flexible, and well-compensated way — from anywhere in the world.

No AI experience required.

- Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

Read the rest of the description (7 more paragraphs)

* Design advanced chemistry problems that challenge and evaluate AI reasoning — spanning areas like chemical engineering, biochemistry, thermodynamics, and organic chemistry * Develop rigorous, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate clear scientific logic * Evaluate AI-generated outputs for factual accuracy, depth of reasoning, and quality * Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate-to-Masters-level chemistry topics * Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves how AI models handle scientific content

Who You Are

* Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains * Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing * Detail-oriented and comfortable providing structured, critical feedback * Self-motivated and able to work independently on an asynchronous schedule * No prior AI or data annotation experience required

Nice to Have

* Experience with data annotation, content evaluation, or quality assurance workflows * Familiarity with large language models or AI research concepts * Background spanning multiple chemistry subfields

Why Join Us

* Work directly with cutting-edge AI models from the world's top research labs * Fully remote and flexible — work on your schedule, wherever you are * Freelance perks: high autonomy, variety, and global collaboration * Make a meaningful contribution to how AI understands and communicates science * Strong potential for ongoing contract renewals and expanded project involvement
