OpenTrain AI: why it is not listed here
OpenTrain AI is not listed here because part of what it carries is other platforms' roles under its own name. On 2026-09-05, 238 of the roughly 1,350 roles on its board had titles that were near-exact copies of roles then live on Mercor, micro1, Alignerr and AfterQuery, and in 50 of 60 sampled pairs the advertised top rate was identical to the role it matched. Every page sampled still named OpenTrain as the hiring and contracting organisation. Its board is open to you directly if you would rather use it.
Why OpenTrain AI is not listed here
- ▲ About a sixth of its board was other platforms' roles. On 2026-09-05, 238 of roughly 1,350 titles were near-exact copies of roles then live on Mercor, micro1, Alignerr and AfterQuery, and the advertised top rate was identical in 50 of 60 sampled pairs.
- ▲ It names OpenTrain AI as the hiring and contracting organisation on every page sampled, so a copied role does not say whose work it is.
- ▲ Carrying it would put copies next to the originals. All four platforms it copies from are already listed here, with their rates read from the source.
In fairness: OpenTrain is not hiding what it is. The apply link stays on its own app, and roughly 90% of its roles carried a structured hourly rate when this directory counted, which is better disclosure than most boards manage. Its own terms of service (last updated 2026-04-25, checked 2026-09-21) say it may be paid a referral fee or commission by the outside platforms whose jobs it lists when someone it sends is hired there, and that the fee does not reduce what that platform pays you. A role you find there is usually a real role, and if its board suits you better than the source platform's, nothing here says not to use it.
It has never been listed here. The decision was recorded on 2026-09-20, and it would change if the reasons above stopped being true. How this is decided · what the platforms listed here pay.

The honest read
Checked 2026-09-20: 1,306 open roles on its own board. On 2026-09-05, 238 of its roughly 1,350 titles were near-exact copies of roles live on Mercor, micro1, Alignerr and AfterQuery. Every page sampled names OpenTrain AI as the hiring and contracting organisation, and the apply link stays on app.opentrain.ai.
When we checked on 2026-09-21, the Apply button on a role OpenTrain AI carries from another platform led to a page on OpenTrain's own app asking you to create an OpenTrain account to apply, not to the platform that posted the role.
What happens after you applyOpenTrain AI roles
OpenTrain AI roles are not listed here, for the reasons above. Its own board is still open to you, and this page will say so if that changes.
