We're running a paid research study focused on how e-commerce platforms are evaluated and recommended for Direct-to-Consumer brands. We are looking for experienced digital strategists to write a detailed methodology guide and record a narrated workflow demonstrating a live platform evaluation.
What We're Researching
We are commissioning a paid study on the methodologies used to evaluate and select e-commerce platforms for Direct-to-Consumer brands. Understanding the structural requirements and cost modeling behind these decisions helps us map the current landscape of commerce technologies. This research will capture the expert workflows used to rank and recommend platforms based on specific business needs. How It Works
You will produce a comprehensive written guide of approximately 4,000 words detailing your platform evaluation methodology across eight structural requirements. Alongside this written component, you will capture a 30-45 minute narrated screen recording. In this video, you will demonstrate a live platform recommendation workflow for a specific DTC brand case study, evaluating at least five different platforms. You will also walk through all-in cost modeling and explain how you arrive at your final ranked recommendations. Who This Is For
We are looking for senior e-commerce consultants, technical architects, and digital strategists who actively advise DTC brands on technology selection. You should have extensive hands-on experience evaluating major commerce platforms and building total cost of ownership models. We welcome independent consultants, agency strategists, and in-house enterprise architects with a strong background in commerce infrastructure.
What you would do
• Write a detailed guide explaining your e-commerce platform evaluation methodology for DTC brands.
• Record a 30-45 minute narrated video demonstrating your platform recommendation workflow.
• Evaluate at least five e-commerce platforms in a live case study format.
• Break down the all-in cost modeling and structural requirements used to rank options.
Who this is for
• Professional experience as an e-commerce consultant, technical architect, or digital strategist
• Proven track record of advising DTC brands on platform selection and migration
• Comfortable producing long-form technical writing and recording narrated screen walkthroughs
• Deep familiarity with enterprise e-commerce platforms and total cost of ownership modeling
