How to apply for work on Terac, step by step
By Alex. First published 2026-10-18. Sources checked 2026-10-18.
Terac offers both one-time opportunities and ongoing projects. Read the opportunity details first: a screening interview, a paid interview task and an ongoing project can involve different commitments.
This guide follows Terac's published instructions, checked on 18 October 2026. It is a documentation-based walkthrough.
1. Create your account and verify your phone
Sign in with a supported account provider. Phone verification is required. Adding LinkedIn or a resume is optional. Review your profile before continuing.

2. Decide when to take the onboarding interview
The optional onboarding interview helps build your profile. Terac estimates about 10 minutes. It is in English and can be resumed if interrupted. You can skip it initially and return from Home.
3. Open an opportunity and check its steps
Home shows invitations and active opportunities. Explore shows opportunities open to you. Review the work, pay and eligibility, then follow its checklist. Screening can be a form, an AI interview or a file upload. Some opportunities need connected accounts.

4. Prepare for screening if required
The AI screening interview is separate from onboarding. Terac estimates about 3 minutes, sometimes longer, with no hard time limit. Camera and microphone are required. Follow the screen-sharing checks and any instruction to disconnect extra monitors.
A completed interview cannot be retaken. An interrupted screening can restart from the beginning. Interviews are recorded, and review can be human or automated depending on the opportunity.

5. Check approval and the payment stage
The application checklist distinguishes phone verification needed to apply from identity verification needed for cashout. An opportunity can add its own requirements. Read the checklist for your application.
Reviews can happen after screening, tasks or both. For one-time work, approved earnings enter your Terac balance. Ongoing projects use their own task or hourly payment schedule. A screening result alone is not confirmation of earnings.
