The role, as Alignerr describes it
Python Developer (AI Training)
About the Role
What if your Python expertise could directly influence how AI writes code for millions of developers around the world? We're looking for experienced Python developers to evaluate AI-generated code, tackle complex algorithmic challenges, and help ensure that the software AI produces meets the highest standards of correctness and craftsmanship.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior developers who take pride in writing clean, efficient, production-grade Python. You'll work alongside leading AI research labs on problems that genuinely matter — and get paid well for it.
- Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Who You Are
* Deep, hands-on expertise in Python — you know the language inside and out * 3–5+ years of professional experience writing production-level Python code * Comfortable with modern Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI * Strong grasp of advanced language features, design patterns, and performance considerations * Exceptional written communication skills — you can explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely * Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field * Self-motivated and consistent when working independently
Nice to Have
* Prior experience with data annotation, RLHF, or AI evaluation systems * Familiarity with algorithmic problem-solving or competitive programming * Background in code review, technical writing, or software quality assurance * Experience contributing to or reviewing open-source Python projects
Why Join Us
* Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading research labs * Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you * Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, expert-level work * Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and generates code at scale * Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
