The role, as Alignerr describes it

Creative Writing Evaluator (AI Training)

About the Role

What if your passion for great storytelling could directly shape how AI writes? We're looking for Creative Writing Evaluators to read, assess, and provide feedback on AI-generated fiction, essays, poetry, and more — helping AI systems produce writing that feels genuinely human, compelling, and original.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role ideal for avid readers, aspiring writers, English graduates, and anyone with a sharp literary eye. No published writing credits or formal credentials required — just a genuine love of language and the ability to articulate what makes writing work.

What You'll Do

Read the rest of the description (7 more paragraphs)

* Read and evaluate AI-generated creative writing across genres including fiction, poetry, essays, and narrative nonfiction * Rate outputs on key literary dimensions: style, coherence, tone, originality, and reader engagement * Identify weaknesses such as clichés, unnatural phrasing, logical inconsistencies, or flat characterization * Write clear, constructive feedback that guides meaningful improvements in AI writing quality * Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

* A genuine lover of reading and writing across a range of genres and styles * Able to articulate why writing works — or doesn't — with clarity and precision * Strong command of English language, grammar, and style * Comfortable working through substantial volumes of text with consistent attention to quality * Self-motivated and reliable when working independently * No publishing experience or formal writing credentials required

Nice to Have

* Background in English literature, creative writing, journalism, or communications * Experience with editing, critiquing, or workshopping creative writing * Familiarity with multiple literary genres and their conventions * Prior experience with AI tools or content evaluation platforms

Why Join Us

* Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs * Fully remote and flexible — read and evaluate on your own schedule * Freelance autonomy with the satisfaction of meaningful, creative work * Contribute to AI development that directly shapes how technology tells stories and communicates ideas * Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
